Elliot Latner is a British-American actor, writer, producer, director, and acting coach based in New York City.

Born in London and now working across both the United States and United Kingdom, Elliot began performing as a teenager, studying at the renowned Sylvia Young Theatre School and Anna Scher’s acting studio before continuing his training in New York.

He graduated from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where he received the prestigious Max Fischer Award for Acting and was selected for the Academy’s Company Program.

On screen, Elliot is known for his role as Constable Peterson in James Wan’s blockbuster horror film The Conjuring 2, where he worked alongside Frances O’Connor and Simon Delaney. His performance was highlighted by Empire Magazineas a memorable standout in the film. His recent work includes the feature film Evil Genius, directed by Courteney Cox and starring Patricia Arquette and David Harbour, as well as major national and international commercial campaigns for brands including Lay’s/Walkers, where he appeared alongside Steve Carell, Lionel Messi, David Beckham, and Thierry Henry as part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign.

On stage, Elliot has appeared Off-Broadway with Irish Repertory Theatre in London Assurance, earning praise for his ensemble work and comedic timing. His theatre credits also include productions and workshops with Arielle Tepper Productions, New Dramatists, The Directors Company, FPA, and a Broadway workshop alongside Tony Award winner André De Shields.

As a writer, Elliot’s screenplay Harry-Man won Best Screenplay at the New Hampshire Film Festival and has also been recognized by the Austin Film Festival, Final Draft’s Big Break Competition, and Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival. His work often blends dark comedy with deeply human stories exploring grief, redemption, and connection.

Elliot is also the founder of BK Actors Self-Tape, one of New York City’s most trusted audition studios, where he has coached thousands of actors and overseen more than 1,500 self-tapes annually. Through his coaching, actors have booked leading and recurring roles on major television networks, streaming platforms, Broadway productions, and feature films.

His comedy and improvisation training includes advanced study at The Groundlings, Upright Citizens Brigade, Second City New York, Terry Schreiber Studio, and Lesly Kahn.

In addition to his acting career, Elliot founded Think(iT) Film Assembly at the Brooklyn Navy Yard and was the original founder of Nylon Fusion Theatre Company, supported by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Paul Haggis and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright John Patrick Shanley.
